It could be any morning…

These pics might not be documentary shots of an ordinary day but I think I captured that feeling all parents have of those moments in our hectic lives that are frameable. We are so craz busy these days and we think about photography as something to invest in when we need that perfect christmas picture. Seriously the pix that mean the most to us will be the ordinary moments that can be crafted to capture our extra-ordinary lives..! Don’t you thin?
I thank Suzy for her trust in me as a friend but mostly for her faith in me as an artist!

I’m in a NY state of mind…

Every neighborhood has it’s own vibe. We left the village after I shot my assignment and headed over to the Hi-Line ( use to be called the meat packing district when I lived there) to meet up with another client. I swear we didn’t go more than three avenues west, but we entered a whole other era. I love NY… I am always in a NY State of mind….

These images are about my personal project, Conception. My project, which is so near and dear to my soul, is about family in this millenium and it features the new norm that is no longer defined by race, gender, religion or marital status. It’s about creating a family becuase as an adult you have that need to nurture the next generation on a personal level. The majority of Americans still raise their children to believe in the “traditional” idea of family. There is definitely nothing wrong with tradition but our kids should be raised with the belief that whatever path their life takes it’s OK. We can let our children know that they can have it all, just as long as they know ALL is by thier own definition.

I really wanted the models on my recent portfolio shoot to be comfortable and look like real college kids doing laundry.  Juan, kept toning down their makeup to make them look more natural and I made sure I chose wardrobe that looked like a “co-ed with a hectic schedule”  might throw on to go to the […]

THE BOB…

Salon Concrete apprentices recently practiced their BOB’s by choosing an era and then modernizing it. Can you guess  which era they worked on? We had so much fun shooting this campaign and creating these images. None of these models were professionals.. Just everyday girls who wanted a new “do” by the talented team. Credits include : Hair and Make […]

I became a mom; Christmas Day 2002 and suddenly I truly felt the magic of the season. I love seeing the twinkling lights and hearing the Christmas songs as it is a celebration of my son’s birth (a bit profound but that’s not what this post is about).     As, Jake started to see the […]

This blog is about Suburban Mom’s .. Looking good or just getting by out here in Mayberry, but I just need to post something personal. I guess it’s alright, I am actually a Suburban Mom. For the past year, I have been bringing my kid on weekend shoots. He’s almost 11 and he doesn’t want […]

Yo Mama “Show me the Love”

I waited 45 years to become a mom and it is the single most gratifying thing I ever did. The sad part is I’m not sure my son will have a visual diary of how much I love hanging with him and how happy he makes me feel. You see I cringe every time the […]
